I enjoyed learning a little more about who you are as a person; the information was varied and helped me get a better picture of you. When I read "I think before I speak (most of the time)", I had to laugh because even though I'm much older, and you'd think I'd know better by now, I still need to think at times before I speak to make sure I have "proofread" myself!

I enjoyed reading this memoir because it relates to other people including me. I understand what it feels like to be stressed and frustrated about what I want to do with myself whether it means school or sports.

Post #2 - Jesse R. - Growing up an athlete I understand what she is saying in her memoir and I can relate to her memoir in every way almost down to a tee. I know what it feels like to be "humbled" in a sense of losing but I also know how it feels to be an underdog and overcome the odds and take the win on my terms and not lose on someone else's.

I like Tony's memoir because it relates to my everyday life. When I say, "everyday life," I mean you can find me doing all the things Tony listed in his memoir whether it's helping my parents out around the house or hanging out with friends. I also am very fortunate like Tony to have a brother that I can not only call family but a best friend.

I really liked reading this memoir because a lot of the things Zack was talking about in his memoir I've been there to experience. I've been on both sides of a joke, the fun side and the not so fun side, but almost all of the jokes I've been in on have ended up in laughs coming from both sides of the joke, although, there's always a rare occurrence where the joke either goes too far or gets taken too serious but always results in no hard feelings.

This memoir was very emotional and relatable to a certain extent. I also feel like high school is more difficult overall. Sometimes i feel like i do everything wrong, it's a hard thing to handle.

    Abass Block 5

This memoir is inspirational and it is very positive, because of your success. I know what it's like to prove people wrong, it feels great. I am glad that you're succeeding and i feel that i have been succeeding recently as well.

    Angela Block 6

Your memoir was very funny and very relatable. I feel the same way about not really feeling present often in class. I am also glued to a sloppy routine, at least we're getting good grades.

    Kevin L Block 6

This memoir is very well written and it holds its meaning well. I am so happy to be your friend and i am lucky to know you. You are immeasurably strong and resilient, i don't know what i would do in your difficult situation.

I liked this memoir you shouldn't have to miss social events because you are to busy doing schoolwork. I can relate to this because i hate when have to miss football games because I have homework and no time to do it over the weekend.

Post #2- Rachel Chenoweth. -Block 5
I can relate to this six word memoir because when your doing something for a grade, you don't want to write the wrong things. I never want to be so wrong at something that I'm afraid to write and fail.

Post #3- Abby Corella. -Block 6
I really liked this six word memoir because true friends will always have your back. If one of your so called friends won't have your back in tough situations, are they really your friends.

Post #4- Madison Hamlin. -Block 6
i liked this memoir because life is like a roller coaster. Even though we might not be on the same path, they all have their ups and downs.

I liked how she made her memoir the actual assignment. She connected this to all her classes and things that she writes. I think it's common for writers to second guess themselves. You're not a good writer until you complete a rough draft and try your hardest to make it better.

I really enjoyed the way it was written in general, very specific and very detailed. She basically got in everyone's head and said what most highschoolers are thinking and feeling.

Post #3- Ari Viernes- Block 6
Knowing Ari personally, she is one of those people that are always happy and it physically hurts you to see them upset. I liked how she wrote about everything that made her happy.

Post #4- Angela Price- Block 6
She explained the mindset of almost everyone in school. There's nothing worse than getting into class the next day and realizing you didn't do the homework from the class before. Everyday I tell my mom when i'm home from school and she always calls me and asks me what I learned that day and I always think "Was I really in school?"

I like the way you explained how you overcame the losses and got the "W". I used to play and manage volleyball and I know how difficult it is to lose. When the team works together and gets a win it makes you feel amazing and that you have such a great team.

I loved the way you expressed your feelings towards this person. I relate because I once felt this way towards someone. It is great to feel a special connection to someone you have feelings for.

I really enjoyed your example with your brothers and how you learned from them. Abby is one of my closest friends, I know she will always have my back and I will always have hers.

I loved the way you used the roller coaster as an example of life. I relate very much. I have high and low points in my life but I always know that I'll go back up even if I have to be down for a little.

I loved how you said Family is the most important thing in your life. I always say that friends are extremely important to me but my family is my everything. One of the most important things I believe what makes a family is supporting you no matter what! If my family did not support me. I would not be the man I am now today.

When I was looking through what memoir to pick. Your memoir stuck out the most to me. I love how you say in the beginning of your memoir that people dont know who we want to be or who we are yet. When you started talking about how you wanted to start acting I thought that was really cool because I die heart love acting. You should totally do it. Another thing that standed out to me is that you like writing. When I was little like 8 years old, I made a ton of mini stories. But as I got older I realized I wanted to express these feelings so I took acting. Still to this day I am trying to figure out what do I want to be when I grow up?

I thought your Memoir was literally the definition of my life! I love how you connected life as a roller coaster ride and went in depth with it. I can connect to this memoir so much because my life has had so many ups like my brother being born. Also many downs like my aunt Kelly dying when I was in 4th grade. I also can not tell you how much i loved when you said this is my roller coaster. Everyone is always going to have different roller coaster rides it just depends on who you are.

This memoir literally describes me so much when I am in class. I really loved how you said if students are really learning in class or not. Most of the time for me the answer is no. I am more of a visual learner not a mental learner. When teachers are talking to the class. My mind will sometimes make me think about something else and by the time like less then a minute i'll come back to reality and I will be totally lost about what there teaching us. Then suddenly the teacher calls on you and asks for the answer. I dont know what to say. So when teachers ask you at the end of class what you learned. I feel like saying "Did I learn anything today?"

I like how you talked about high school in a positive way. I relate to that because, I do have some really close friends, and I hope we stay friends forever.

Post #2- Everett Drake- Block 5
I liked the senior quote you included in your story because it is really funny and relates to a lot of people. Personally I also have an older sibling who is in college and the rules for each of us are different too.

Everyday I see how your friends impact your life.To me my friends and family are really important and I related to everything you said.

I showed your frustration about what was going on in your life; I liked it. I can understand how you fell because I'm always soul searching for what I want to do with my life. Also, my parents also want me to try new things.

I loved how you shared a very difficult part in your life. I can connect to my life because my mom is a very devoted Christian. Also, I understand how it feels to have someone snatched alway from you.

I liked you shared about all the time you messed up in your life. I can connect because I'm always joking joking with sensitive subjects. I also got in trouble or assaulted because of my big mouth.

I can understand and see your pain while I was reading it. I can relate someone in my life that cause me to never wanna let it go. Also, in my life, I lost someone close to me in my life.

You took your block and made it your project, i applaud you. I relate with your memoir in the sense that do matter what I say/write/do will never be enough. I still don't know what I want in life because of this constant block hanging over my head...

    Post#2- Kate Dearie 5B:
Your examples really helped get your point across in your memoir. I'm in a similar spot in way, i just don't know what I want (though at least you picked up some rad skills). I've realized that in whatever you end up doing you just need to make your happiness a priority and not worry about others.

    Post#3-Angela P 6B:
Oh my lord your memoir is too real, I love it. School is a time for learning though more often than not it's just dull droning you hear 7 hours, for 5 days, with every little time to relax between. If you're a person who already knows what they want to achieve then school is just this bothersome block keeping you away from whatever your goal.

    Post#4- Tony Brunetti:
Such a highly relatable and nicely written memoir, wonderful. I constantly find myself bored out of mind, endlessly scrolling through [insert site here] for hours. Ever since I've gone and opened myself up for, making new friends I find myself actually wanting to leave the house and go do something.

I liked your childhood description and how you described your relationship with your brother. MY childhood was very similar to yours because of my relationship with my brothers and parents. I also have friends that spend too much time doing homework and can never hang out.

I like how descriptive and detailed your backstory was. Sometimes in lacrosse my team gets too cocky and loses an easy game. I always use bad games and losses to my advantage for future games.

I like the examples you gave about some jokes you've made. I love joking with people, it's so fun to do until someone takes it seriously and gets mad at you. Just like you I find myself always telling people to chill.

This is a good backstory and memoir that almost anyone could relate to. My parents are always telling me to do better and pushing me to do my best. Sometimes I get annoyed because they push me too hard and I just want to have fun. Just like your parents, my parents just want whats best for me.

  13. post#1- Tony B I like your six word memoir because i love being with my friends and hanging out more than anything. I remember in 8th grade I never wanted to go anywhere or do anything. But ever since freshmen football and i got to hang out with my friends every day thats suddenly all i want to do.

post#2- Matt R I like your six word memoir because like you i'm always getting told how important my grades are right now . I always check my grades to see what needs improvement . right now though for some odd reason I just don't have that sense of urgency for getting my work done.

post#3- Everett D I like your six word memoir because i can relate to it. i hate school but i love hanging with friends or parties. I can relate to this because for example this weekend i had a good 4-5 hours of homework but instead of splitting it up and doing some on saturday and some on sunday i decided to just hangout on friday and party on saturday and i had a crappy sunday.

post#4- Laney W I like your six word memoir because i never thought of these days like that. I can relate to this because usually i am dreading coming to school. However on fridays i try and enjoy being a football player and getting to wear my jersey so that every one knows.

I really liked your examples about your dogs like what you stated about their personalities. I really found it funny that you have dogs like thus because my old dog rocco would also try to steal food and beg for it every time I ate just like Rutles and Snoopy. I also share a love for dogs and when we had to put ours down it was very sad for me.

I like how you wrote about who inspired you to be great or to keep working hard. this is a good quality to have. for every sport I play, my teammates and my coaches have the biggest impact on my performance and success. They always push me to be the best I can be just like yours do so I know where you are getting at.

I really liked the point you were trying to make. Pointless bickering never solves anything. I also have a brother and we used to fight all the time. We realized though that every single time we argued it just got our parents upset. Ever since that moment we get along great.

I love the fact that you can sacrifice so much for something that you love to do. Me personally, I love to write music, and find myself not getting appropriate amounts of sleep, and schoolwork done, just to write music. So the fact that you can give up a social life for something you love, is admirable.

I find it funny that you wrote your six word memoir, about writing the six word memoir; the fact that it is a very personal subject makes me want to get to know you as a person as well. I also tend to second-guess myself, rather in speaking than writing however. I tend to not talk very often, as I'm better expressed through writing.

I can tell you put your heart into writing this; I wouldn't be able to write about a topic like this if I were in your shoes. Me personally, I can relate. That's all I'm really comfortable with saying as this is going on a blog.

I like the fact that despite what a lot of people might think considering our age, that you still trick or treat. Halloween is also my favorite holiday; it's the one day a year where it's allowed to gorge yourself with FREE candy until your sick. Except I'm always that one guy that whenever I see a "take one" sign on a bowl, I take one; and then most of the whole bowl. I have no shame.

I like how you express the way you think in the memoir it makes it more interesting to read. There are times when I feel like I'm not learning because I am day dreaming. Its not always easy to pay attention in school.

I enjoyed your paper because it brings up an important topic; the future. This memoir reminds me how important it is to do things now to be successful in the future. Its important that we succeed now and bring that mind set to collage.

I like how you have so much respect for your family. I agree with the fact that family is forever and friends are not. This reminds me how important my family is to me and the impact they have had on my life.

I thought the part where you described life as a game was good. I think taking risks makes life more enjoyable. When you play a sport and you don't take risks you make the game less thrilling.

What I like about your backstory is how much you appreciate your family. I can relate to your backstory because I appreciate my family very much too. I can also relate to your backstory because I could never ask for a better family than the one I have.

What I like about your backstory is that you included multiple quotes. I can relate to your backstory because I also believe school is important when it comes to being to be successful life. I can also relate to your backstory because I believe life would be easier if I do great things now.

Bro I'm hip, taking risk in life makes life great and bringing soccer into the mix a sport where you to take a lot of risk from attempting to win the ball or scoring. I could consider myself as a risk taker where I've taking many risk in my even if it means failing.

I love how this is written, and how personal you made it. I can completely relate to the fighting with your brother, I have four siblings and am always fighting with them. As for the part about dealing with the cancer, a lot of people in my family suffered with the same thing and I know the importance of prayer.

    2) Toni Brunetti 6B

I like how you were being super real while writing this. I have been through the exact same thing, I used to be very unproductive and had no motivation to do anything. Then, I also realized the importance of having friends to hang out with and to be there for you.

    3) Matt M. 5B

I thought this was written beautifully. I can relate to this because of our shared faith, and your memoir managed to get me teared up. God surely said “well done good and faithful servant” to Corey.

    4) Panos A. 5B

I thought this was really sweet, it brought a smile to my face. I agree, family is forever and most of the people we know in high school, we aren't gonna know in a few years. I think more people should read this and consider getting closer to family if they aren't already, family is forever!

I like how your memoir is about your whole life spent with music instead of just this point of your life. I've always loved how there's a song for every feeling I have. When listening to songs with guitar, I'll also get the urge to play along.

I like how I got to know your Beagles by you telling their backgrounds and personalities. I've also loved dogs my whole life. I have a dog named Toby that's kind of like Snoopy; he'll take your food if you're not careful.

I like how you included examples of what you do with your friends. I was kind of like your friend by introducing my best friend to my other friend and now we all hang out together. I am always afraid that I'm going to get ditched or left behind too, but it always works out in the end.

I like how you included details about your life and who you are as a person. I'm also told I'm quiet, but it makes sense because I also think a lot about what I say. Sometimes it can a struggle, but I wouldn't change who I am.

I can really connect to your memoir because, I don't know what to write sometimes. It can take me longer to find something to write about than it does to write it. Just like you I'm worried that what I write wont be good enough especially if its for a grade.

I liked the way that you chose to put in that you would choose the sport over a social life. I constantly am out of Virginia to go to snowboard meets so I barely have time for anything during that season. You basically described my life while writing about yours.

    Post #3 Sophia B 6b:

I don't have the problem of worrying about what I write, But I can never think of what to write. I like how short you can make your story behind it so short and have a lot of detail in it. Even now I don't know what to write for this.

I really enjoyed your story about your memoir, like what your family has done for you in whatever your do. Family is are very important people that most of us either see or live with every day.

I agree with what you're saying in your six word memoir.
Most of the time in class the class is not at all interesting and I have just random thoughts in my head like what you say you do. Like when were are reading a book in class I'm reading ahead because I read faster than the rest of the class and have already finished. Last year we were reading a book and I had read ahead of the class and had already finished the book.

I agree with what you're saying in this, doing stuff with friends is way better than doing stuff alone. Though most of my friends are busy a lot of the time so we mainly play video games from each of our houses. It's still way better to be going out to like a movie or something than talking over the internet.

I really relate to what you said about not having time to hang out with friends. With the good comes the bad. If soccer is something you love sometimes its worth giving up time with friends to play instead. As said in your paragraph, “If you love something so much, other things are worth not having”. I think this is a really good message so summarize your whole project.

When reading your summary I could relate to you so much. It is really difficult having the pressure of growing up and trying to figure out what you want to do with your life. I’ve been going through the exact same thing and it gets really tough. I loved your six words and I think it summarizes the entire thing very well.

The message behind your six-word memoir I felt very relevant in my life. When you wrote about how you sit in class everyday and pay attention but don’t know if you’re truly learning anything I could really relate. I feel like everyone focuses so much on tests and GPA, but when you sit back and look at it your education is what is truly important.

I liked Your example of your high school season, especially how you explained how your team improved over the L's and W's. I know how it feels to lose games in a row because that's how the beginning of my lacrosse season went. I know how hard it is to get motivated when the only thing that has been happening is losing.

I likes the way you explained how you felt with lots of detail. I can relate to this because I also just quite volleyball after spending 5 years playing the sport. I know how hard it is to move on past it and how to get into something else

I loved how thoughtful your memoir was. I know that it can be difficult when you lose somebody and the feeling of never wanting to let go. I know that i still am holding on and not wanting to let go of the person that I lost.

I really enjoy how you express your close relationships with your friends. I also love having really close relationships with my friends, and I would never betray my friends. I agree that my friends are also a very important aspect of life.

    Post #2 Abby Corella:
I like how you express the importance of true friends. I also lost a lot of people freshmen year of high school, but I now know who my real friends are.

I feel like your topic is something that the entire world can relate to. I also ask myself what I really want to do with my life on the daily. Since I dance, and I know that that is a very hard career to get into. So many people want that career that the number people who do get in can't even compare to the people who don't. I am constantly wondering if I should pursue what I love, or take a different, more steady career choice.

I really liked you six word memoir because felt that I related to it the most. I dance everyday, some days I dance 5-6 hours. It is a really huge struggle to have a social life with my schedule, but I love dance too much to ever quit on it.

Post 1 Panos A.: I really liked your memoir because you are correct, family will always be there for you while most friends won't. I have had a lot of friends that come and go over the years and they are not as important as family. The only exception is that I have 2 or 3 friends that I have known for such a long time, I consider them family.\

Post 2 Abass S.: I liked your memoir because you must work hard to achieve goals. I work hard everyday to achieve my goals in baseball. I also work hard to keep my grades up in school

Post 3 George B.: I liked your memoir because you say friends are important to you. They are to me also, I have had many friends but Only an extremely small amount whom i have known for 10 years or more. I count on those friends to help me when i feel down etc.

Post 4 Matthew R.: I really like your memoir because you say you have to work for yourself when you get older. I think me and everyone else can relate to that. Everybody has to work hard for themselves to make a living and have a great life.

  39. Post #1 SC: I related to her 6 word memoir because I know the feeling you get when someone makes you feel like you are the only person in the world and makes you feel so good about yourself. I liked how her memoir showed me a new side to her that I didn't know. I can connect with the art piece that she chose because I can look at it and know what she is learning.

Post #2 Rachel C: I can relate to her memoir because I have been in her shoes and not known how/what to right about. I like how the memoir correlated exactly to what we are writhing about. A lot of the time I know what to say but I don't know how to express it on paper or words, so I completely understand where she is coming from when reading her memoir.

Post #3 Abby Corella: Abby is one of my absolute best friends so I can relate to her memoir because I'm one of the friends she is writing about. I feel the same way about her to where she talks about a friend that will always be there for her, because I will always be there for her and she will always be there for me.

Post #4 Ari V: similar to Abby's memoir I can relate to Ari's because she is also one of my best friends. I feel the same way about her, she makes my day brighter and I know I can always turn to her. her memoir really resonates with me because I know exactly what she means when she talks about friend that will always have her back because I know that she will always have mine.

I loved how much detail you put into your six-word memoir. My freshman year of high school wasn’t the best year of my life. It was filled with failures and not knowing what was going to happen. I’m also trying to figure out I’m going to do in the future.

I really enjoyed reading your six-word memoir about how music has been apart of your life. Music has also made a huge impact on my life as well. Music would also calm me down and help me relax.

I really enjoyed reading your six-word memoir about your love for Halloween. I also believe that Halloween is the best holiday ever. I love Halloween because it’s the one day you can scare people without being judged.

I loved reading your memoir with all of your personal examples. I also believe that you should never betray friends.
